One of many "portable mini-installations" or found object shadow boxes as most people would call them I've done. This predominantly black & white piece features a 50 or 60's era Japanese doll that I've prettied up with some vintage jewelry. Kitsch AND Sparkle in the same place! One of the first of it's kind (as far as my making them is concerned) and the one that made me realize that I really loved making these things! A blue stained wooden box containing a very serene Virgin Mary who was formerly a night-light. The base and halo made from a cream colored sugar bowl and its lid covered in tiny gilt stars. An ornately framed mirror flanked with a split milkweed pod top this found object sculpture.

The base of this found object piece is a vintage tin gelatin mold with a beautiful embossed design. An antique watch face framed with glass flowers tells us it's much too late to be receiving gifts from strange gorillas. But when has that ever stopped you before? This item will hang on the wall as well as having magnets attached to make it the mother of all fridge magnets!

"Mosaic Squared" is a study in lines and color. Overlapping squares cover the entire 22" x 22" surface of this piece. Yes, it is one of the most recognizable video game controllers turned into a belt buckle!
Due to their used condition, the actual condition will slightly vary from controller to controller. That said, I will only sell controllers that are in good to mint condition (aesthetically at least, since the cord has been removed, they do not function anymore). The pictures shown are a very good example of the quality you will see.
The buckles used, as with all my other buckles are real belt buckle hardware. All of the hardware on these controllers are attached using an industrial grade epoxy. Some even have rivets. You can request to make sure that yours has rivets installed for extra strength (though the epoxy is more than strong enough by itself). I never use screws as they have a tendency to strip, or simply back out over time.
